Just a week ago, Krafton & PUBG Studio announced a new spin-off title for the PUBG franchise, a new game called PUBG: New State. Since the announcement, the game has garnered 5 million pre-registrations. This alone proves that mobile gamers are excited about it. At the moment, you can pre-register on Google Play but iOS users will need to wait a little bit longer.
The story takes us to the year 2051 so expect it to be much more futuristic than its predecessor. While the gameplay will be familiar to PUBG players, the trailer shows certain items that may be recognized from Call of Duty: Mobile like drones & deployable shields. Perhaps this new title may be an attempt to attract a new audience that includes CODM players. The map is quite new and is nothing similar to the previous game. PUBG: New State will take place on a map called Troi that is an 8×8 km in size.
From what we have learned about this upcoming battle royale and what the trailer has revealed, it seems like a more realistic experience than PUBG Mobile.
The game features Global Illumination technology to bring breathtaking graphics to your mobile devices and will deliver a better experience as well.
PUBG: New State introduces new elements to the experience like customisation of your weaponry while playing. This can affect your gameplay, fire mode selection, or even can include attachments. Moreover, the game features combat rolls & new vehicles which will alter the gameplay style dramatically. Therefore, if you are a current player of PUBG then you will need to adapt to the new experience in a new environment.
According to Pocket Gamer, MinKyu Park from PUBG had this to say about this upcoming title, “Given the fan support and massive success of the previous games, it is humbling to be able to build and introduce the next game in the franchise that revolutionized the battle royale genre worldwide. We want to build on that legacy by creating an experience that pushes the limits of mobile gaming. Watching our team come together to develop a global product has been an amazing experience and we are confident that it will speak to all audiences when it launches later this year.”
Finally, PUBG: New State has no release date yet but it is currently open for pre-registrations on Google Play and will be available soon for iOS users. This game is very promising because PUBG Studio, the makers of the original PUBG on PC, are involved in its creation. We believe that it will be released later this year but we have no confirmation on that. The team behind PUBG: New State promises ultra-realistic graphics for this mobile game so we all should be excited about it. You can watch the action-packed trailer for the game below.
