The GFUEL Tournament Series: The Beginning & The End

The GFUEL Tournament Series is a series of tournaments that was launched in late November by MOBILE E-SPORTS® in partnership with Gamma Labs. The series consisted of 3 games: Clash Royale, Vainglory, & Critical Ops. In Clash Royale, the champion of the tournament was Legend of Hero who skilfully beat 15 other competitors on the bracket.

In Vainglory, Celsior eSports ended up the victor following a close match against a powerful team named Misfits. Finally, in Critical Ops, the tournament will conclude this Saturday at 10 AM PST with two popular teams, GankStars & Nova Esports, set to face each other.

The Critical Ops GFUEL Tournament started with the top 8 teams in the game and this weekend we will learn which of the finalists is the champion of this competitive event. MOBILE E-SPORTS® ran a poll asking fans their predictions on the finals and the result was surprising. 56% voted for Nova Esports, 33% selected GankStars, and 11% remained undecided. Of course, polls are not accurate tools of prediction but it gives you an idea of what voters are thinking.

Both teams have been impressive during their Semi-final matches. Nova landed an unpredictable victory against D2R Insidious in a Best of 3 Format. While the poll has Nova leading, you cannot underestimate GankStars’ performance on the battlefield. In their Semi-final match, GankStars went from a losing score of 2 – 9 to an incredible 13 – 11, beating Learn From Past on their own home server. No doubt, it was one of the best comebacks we have seen in a very long time.
